If you are having problems such as dirty water, air or odd noises coming from your faucet, or decreased water pressure there may be something going on with your well pump.
Another sign for well problems is high electric bills. This could mean that your pump is strained and running too often. This could cause your pump to fail.
This could indicate broken water pipes. It could also mean that your pump is not filtering out sediment correctly. If your pump is not filtering correctly it could be a sign that it is failing.
This could mean that your pump is malfunctioning or it could point to a failing pump. Another possibility is that there are cracks or leaks in the pipes above your water tank.
First, make sure that your that your shut-off valve is all the way open, this could be an easy fix. If that’s not it then it could mean your electric motor has failed. We suggest getting one of our professionals out to take a look at it.
There could be a blockage in your pump or your pump could be failing. Both of these would cause your pump to not work as efficiently, thus causing the higher electric bill.
There are also a few other things you could check out if you are having problems with your water. First, check the breaker. It could be as simple as a blown breaker. Second, make sure that your pump size is correct. If you’ve added a new bathroom or more appliances you may need a bigger pump to accommodate. Lastly, check the pressure switch on the pressure tank to see if it needs to be reset.
